On Friday 6th December we set up the Spun Candy kitchen at the Deli counter and were making candy for all of Virgin’s Clubhouse passengers by 1pm.
We started off by creating some red and green peppermint Christmas candy canes for Virgin Atlantic’s Christmas tree.
Joao and Jamie, our candy makers for the day then made passion fruit flavoured Sir Richard Branson lollipop for the passengers flying out that afternoon. We accompanied this with some Christmas themed candy which included reindeer’s, snowflakes and Christmas puddings.
As the sun set at Heathrow we prepared some mini candy roses to accompany evening cocktails at the bar.
Throughout the day we met many passengers who came to watch our show before they jetted off to destinations which included New York, Hong Kong and Sydney. Many of Virgin’s Clubhouse staff came and marveled at our live production and tasted the much awaited hot pieces of watermelon candy.
We are continuing to make confectionery until Tuesday 10th December and have been requested to make some fudge on Sunday so who knows what we will make next.
