Spun Candy and Candylicious in Dubai

At Spun Candy we are always looking to expand our global reach and build on our brand. This has led us to be in the privileged position of being able to join the ranks of such confectionery heavy weights as Hershey, Garrett Popcorn and Jelly Bean in the fantastic candy emporium that is Candylicious in Dubai.

Candylicious is the largest candy store in the world, whose sweets exceed 5,000 different varieties and whose chocolate is sourced from the most renowned countries in the world; including Belgium and Italy. Their message is to ‘Eat Happy’ an ethos that we wholeheartedly agree with, as enjoying great candy and confectionery treats is about more than good flavour. They and we are devoted to making you smile while you eat, whether that be down to creative design or classic flavouring that transports you back in time.

Our first step into the Middle East will be at the Dubai Mall. Candylicious, along with the global retail consultancy, Retail is Detail, and Middle Eastern based company Alabbar Enterprises, are partnering up to deliver us a flagship store in the heart of the UAE. Having already worked with such global brands as Angelina, Temperley of London and Oscar de la Renta, we are confident that our Spun Store in Dubai will prove huge success.

It will open in August this year and will occupy 550 sq. feet of the Candylicious Store in the Dubai Mall. The store itself will consist of a candy conveyor belt, iconic Spun Candy pick and Mix, wall projections of our most delicious and sought after lines and a live candy theatre.

Later on in the year we will also be welcoming a Spun Candy store in Abu Dhabi too, at the Yas Mall. This will be in November to ensure we have it up and operational in time for the Formula One Grand Prix and the massive influx of tourists the event brings to the region. It will be next to the Yas Marina Circuit, a fabulous spot that is the heart of the country. We think we are on to a winning formula with the way we set up our stores and so are keeping a very similar layout to the Dubai Mall, with conveyer and candy theatre included.

Ultimately we want to take our special brand of creative and delicious candy to as many countries as we can across the world and give everyone the opportunity to enjoy and play a part in our success. These will certainly not be the last stores we open and with our fantastic franchise opportunities interesting clients across the globe, we envisage this to be just the first of many more to come.
